This summer we took a two week vacation up north. My nephew Michael was getting married and the three little one's were in the wedding. We decided to make a couple weeks out of the trip. We started out in Pennsylvania. We stayed at the in-laws for a very nice visit and got to visit with friends we haven't seen since we left. After that we went to my parents for another very nice visit. We got to visit with some more friends and attend a fabulous wedding. After the wedding we headed up to Mentor and stayed with our friends John and Jo. We visited many more friends there. We ended the trip with a very long drive from Mentor to Little Rock so Bob could do an infrared job there. From there it was back home.
We started off very early in the morning. 5:30 to be exact. We got the kids up and let them stay in their pj's. We hoped that they would go back to sleep, but they didn't. Not only did they not go back to sleep, they didn't sleep the WHOLE trip!
Here's Johnny wide awake, eating his pop tart.
We drove 13 hours the first day and made it to Dayton. My brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kelly, graciously let us stay with them. We didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with them, but we had a nice time. The kids got to play with Danielle, but Elaina was at a sleep over so we didn't get to see her. (We missed you Elaina!) Kelly works nights so we only got to see her for a little while in the morning. It was great to see my brother!

After we left Dayton we headed for a 4 hour drive to Pennsylvania to see Grandma and Grandpa Corcoran. One of the first things Daddy did when we got there was get out Aunt Tammy's old three-wheeler.
As you can tell by the look on Hailey's face...she loved it too! She kept screaming "it begins now" as she was riding. (It's a line from Bolt).
Grandma let the kids invite some friends from their old school and the Marniks over for a visit. They had such a good time!
The next day we went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. Bob's parents and sister Tammy also went with us.

Lindsey was ready to see the giraffes.
Mommy with a polar bear.
Hailey wants to get her picture with every elephant.
Looking at the lions.
Johnny with the zebras.
Hailey up on Daddy's shoulders looking at...what else??? Elephants of course!
Standing with grandma looking at the elephants.
There are two baby elephants at the Pittsburgh zoo. It was fun to watch them with their moms.

Johnny and Hailey "under" water with the sting rays.
Lindsey under water.
Taking a look at the huge fish.
Grandma, Johnny, Lindsey, Hailey and myself with the giant polar bear.
Every time Hailey went up to the window one of the elephants would come up where she was. It was really cool.
She was being sneaky. She put one leg under the rail, slowly the other leg, one arm and started to do the next before Daddy said "Hailey, what are you doing?" She got a big smile on her face. She wanted to go to the other side of that fence so bad!
Aunt Tammy bought the kids each their own magnet. An elephant for Hailey, A giraffe for Lindsey and a zebra for Johnny.
After we left the zoo we went to visit my good friend Candy who just had a baby. Below is her husband, Jeremy and baby Ben.
Me holding Ben. I haven't held a little one for so long! He was so sweet, but I'm glad I'm out of that stage.
Johnny on Grandpa's tractor.
It was Max and Sam's 6th birthday the day we were there. They got a lego set from their aunt and had a blast working on it!
Later that night Lindsey's friend, Sydney came over. She couldn't make the party on Sunday because she was out of town so she came over on Tuesday.
