Girl Scout Field Trips

The Girl Scouts had a field trip recently.  They started out at Louisiana Tech farm and then headed off to Papa Simpson's farm.  They also went to Driskill Mountain, which is the highest point in Louisiana,  and climbed to the top.  We didn't make it to that part of the field trip.  It would have made for a VERY long day!

The kids learning about how they milk the cows twice a day (once at 2:30 in the morning) every single day of the year!!

After the Tech farm we went to Papa Simpson's Farm.  Here's a picture of all the kids before we got started.

Mommy with the baby goat.  They are so cute!!  To bad they grow up into big goats.

We even got to hold the little pigs!

Johnny wanted nothing to do with holding the pig.  He said, "I'll just pet it."  I love the look on his face!

Even Mommy milked the cow.  I can honestly say it was my first time ever.

All the kids planted corn.

This maze was in the shape of Louisiana and had all kinds of facts, cities and roads marked inside.  It was really neat.
