Well, after a LONG break in blogging (actually I guess it wasn't a break, it was me being lazy!) I figured I'd start back since we are starting the next chapter in our lives. We sold our house in Monroe, Louisiana on July 27 and left for San Antonio on July 28th. Our amazing friends, Shelly and Doug Schmidt took us in for the two days that we were homeless. We had no where to go in San Antonio except Bob's one-bedroom apartment. We did that for 3 days when we went to visit Bob and that was NOT fun!!! Bob flies with Lyndon Nugent who is Lyndon B. Johnson's grandson. He got us a three bedroom house on the Lyndon B. Johnson Ranch for the next month until we can close on our new house. MUCH better than a one-bedroom apartment!!

It's a three-bedroom house, but the third bedroom is upstairs and you have to go outside to get to it. We decided to make that a playroom. I didn't like the idea of the kids being up there by themselves at night.

The dogs are LOVING it at the ranch. They have lots of room to run and play and they don't have to be in a kennel. We usually tie them up when we leave because they like to go under the fence where the cattle are. We brought both of our cats with us also. O'Malley has been hanging around just fine, but Amore' hasn't been home in four days. We haven't totally given up hope, but just about. : (
The house itself is very old and most of the stuff in it is very old. There is a lot of history in the house. This is the house where the president used to let his friends that were hunters stay. He used to stay here with them at times. Here is a picture of the living room.

They call this house the Sunset Ranch. We've seen a few pretty sunsets and sunrises!! The sky at night is just amazing. You can see so many stars!

Some of our new friends. There are lots of long steer cattle and many babies. The kids love watching them! They usually come up by the house in the afternoon and early evening. Their water supply is up here by the house.

We are really enjoying our time here at the LBJ Ranch and view we have is just breath taking! The kids are loving it and spend alot of time outside. It's hot here, but definately not as humid as Louisiana. As much as we are enjoying it, we're all ready to move into our new house!
