In late 1972, President and Mrs. Johnson began the renovation process to transform a unique piece of Hill Country into a usable residence for their guests. The LBJ Ranch Sunset House of the last ranch project of former President Lyndon Baines Johnson. The Sunset House is located on the original foundation of a late 19th century farm house that was built in the traditional design of locally procured lumber and limestone.
The LBJ Ranch Sunset House is very relaxing and peaceful. You can enjoy seeing the sunset at night or having coffee in the back porchi n the morning while seeing the wild life. you will also see History of the former presdient Lyndon B. Johnson int he house, books, phones, etc.
