Our libraries here have some great programs over the summer (and during the school year!). We went to the Main Branch this week and this kids decorated cupcakes.

They made ones that look like an ice cream cone.
Lindsey is so good about it. She couldn't eat it because it had Red 40 in it, but she still made it.
Even Grandma got to make cupcakes.

They also made a flower cupcake with necco wafers. My camera was full so I couldn't take any more pictures.
This past Thursday the library we usual go to did a Kids Can Cook class. It was for Johnny's age, but Lindsey and Hailey went and helped out. Grandma and I weren't aloud in with them because they were going to make lunch for us so I gave Lindsey the camera.

They made ham, turkey and cheese tortilla roll ups, fruit salad and fizzy punch (juice with sprite.)
They brought us in and we got to watch them make it for us.
We had a lot of fun! Mommy and Grandma got to relax and read in the quiet library and then had lunch made for us by the kids!! Who could ask for more? We get to do it again in July. Wonder what they will make then.
