James and the Giant Peach

Our local library had a group come to the library and put on the play "James and the Giant Peach".  I have heard of it, but I've never read it or saw the movie.  Neither had the kids, although Amanda said she loved that story so obviously she had.  The play was really cute.  They did a super job with it.  The little girl that played James reminded me SO much of Lindsey.  I could see her up there doing that and she resembled her a little too.  We ended up bringing the book home with us and I read it to the kids.  We had a nice time doing that!
Here are the kids waiting for the play to start.
Here are Jame's parents before they were eaten by the rhinoceros.
The old man coming to talk to James.
Look at the giant peach!
Miss spider, worm, glow worm, centipede, ladybird and the old green grasshopper.
Here is the narrator of the story.
Here is Johnny being really silly with one of the slap bracelets he got from the library.
Below is a picture of the kids eating Pop Rocks (which they also got from the library).  They had so much fun eating those.
