The newest addition to our family.

The night before Hailey's birthday the dogs were barking like crazy all night.  When we woke up in the morning and looked outside there was a dog just laying in our yard.  He was there all day and wasn't leaving.  Seeing how we have such big hearts we gave him some food.  He was so hungry.  We called around to all the shelters around here and had no luck what so ever.  The one shelter had 800 animals brought in just in June.  (The stray dogs down here are amazing. They are just all over the place).  If we would have taken him to the shelter they definitely would have put him to sleep.  Soooo, meet the newest member of our family.
His name is Jack.  The vet told us he was a Cur (or Kerr, I'm not sure how they spell it.)  I thought he looked like our Jessie only tan.

I don't know if you can tell here, but he has a big chunk out of his tongue missing on his right side.
Buzz and Jessie weren't too sure about him.  It's been a couple days so they are starting to accept him a little more.

Here's our cat O'Malley.  The other two dogs love to chase O'Malley up trees.  O'Malley actually eggs them on.  It's a game for them.  Jack was getting along great with the cat and then he saw the other two dogs chase the cat up the tree and decided that sounded like fun.  I had some pictures of it, but I accidently erased them.

I think Jack is going to be a really good dog.  He's really sweet and the kids love him.  Any more dogs come around here and our hearts have got to turn to stone!!
: )
