Elephant time...I mean Circus time!

We got tickets to go to the Shrine Circus in Monroe this past Sunday.  We weren't sure they would have elephant rides their, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out they did!  The circus was good, but it wasn't as good as the one in Pittsburgh.

We got lucky and we couldn't all fit on this one so when we got on the next one Hailey got to be up front!

That is one happy girl!!

This was Johnny's first time.  Last time he was too scared to ride.  He was much braver this time!

Hailey would stay on all day if we let her.   She would have loved to take him home with her.

So much fun!!  How can you not smile when you are riding on the back of an elephant?

Here are the elephants performing.  The pictures didn't turn out too well.  It was too dark.

The day before the circus was when we were supposed to turn our clocks ahead and for some reason I forgot.  We usually have plenty of time before church on Sunday mornings and I was playing on the computer.  I looked at the time on the computer and it was an hour later than I thought.  I figured it out quickly what happened.  We rushed and got ready and went to church (on time) and the circus was right after.  We didn't have time to stop at an ATM, but we figured they would have one there.  Well, they didn't.  We only had enough money for one elephant ride.  This next picture is Hailey when she realized she could not ride the elephant again.

I took the kids for ice cream afterwards to try to make up for it.  Hailey said she would rather go back to the circus and see the elephants than have ice cream!!  It didn't stop her from eating it though!

When we got home she found a comfy elephant and cuddled with it all night.

She looks a lot happier now!
