Swamp Stomp at the library

The library had a Swamp Stomp today.  The kids got to go make crafts, play games and learn about all kinds of animals.  Below they are making music shakers made out of rice, beans and water bottles.

Johnny put a zebra on his.

This is our neighbor, Michael.  He made a really cool drum with  a neat face on it.

These are some of the animals they brought in.  This is a fox squirrel.

This is a black rat snake.  It looks like it would like to each Lindsey.

Yep, it's a skunk.

And last...a baby alligator.  His mouth was taped shut so he couldn't bite anyone.

Johnny, Michael and Donna

Lindsey got to pet the alligator.

Here's Michael's cool drum.

Below are the kids chasing and collecting crickets.

They also got to cast fishing poles.

After we went back inside they got to pet the snake.  Mommy even pet him.

They got lots of prizes and had a really good time!
