Heart Walk 2009

We did the Heart Walk today at Forsythe Park in Monroe with our church, St. Paschal's.  Bob was out of town so he couldn't join us.  We decided to walk for our cousin's girls, Bailey and Hailey.  They were born with Degenerative Heart Disease.  Bailey lost her life, but Hailey is a happy little three year old!
Here we are getting ready for the walk.  I really wanted to walk to three miles, but the kids only made two.  They did a great job, especially after just getting over being sick!
Here are the kids with Heather (our babysitter) and Rachael, her sister (our next babysitter)
They had a personal trainer get up warmed up.  He was tough on us!

Off we go!

Afterwards they had a bouncy for the kids to play in.  They had a lot of fun and blew off some steam in there!!

Waiting for the awards.

Hailey went up for Team St. Paschal's to show off our t-shirts for the best design contest.

We didn't win, but we did win the spirit award and the award for the most participants.

The Memorial Wall.   We wrote Bailey's Chamber's name in the bottom left.

We really did have a fun day.  The weather was nice.  It was about 60 degrees and wasn't too bad if you were in the sun!
